Award in Teaching Assistant

This is a nationally recognised and regulated Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification. We aim to support our learners to become the best possible classroom practitioners they can be. We have very high standards which will increase your knowledge and employment opportunities. This is a non competence based qualification so a placement is not required.

• This is a distance-learning course that can be completed in your own time.
• The course must be completed within 12 months of the start date.
• Assignments will be accessed via the online learning portal when they are to be completed and returned to the course tutor for assessment.
• You will receive timely feedback in order to improve your work should you need to.
• After the successful completion of the course you will receive your nationally recognised certificate.
• Personal Tutoring and coaching from a former Teacher (the importance of this cannot be underestimated).
• Free access to our CPD suite with a library of on demand bite sized courses inc Safeguarding and Intro to SEN

Tutoring

We believe that the support given to students is what differentiates the quality of a course. You will be assigned to a personal tutor who is a former or current Teacher. This is important as the feedback and coaching you will receive will be from a professional who knows not only the role of a Teaching Assistant but how best to work with the classroom Teacher, which is a relationship that can mean the difference between good and outstanding.

You must be over 16 and have a a good level of English.

Learners who achieve this qualification could apply for temporary or permanent jobs working in schools. Learners could also progress onto other qualifications such as:
